in keeping with my recent spanish thing, i figured i’d call this zapatos. that’s spanish for shoes.

take a look at those flaming spikes over there. women wear some funny shoes huh? i wish i could claim i took that picture, or even that i knew the girl, but then you’d all have to ask which club she dances at. and i just don’t know.

how does she walk in those? and no, i’m not going to try either. i doubt they have those in a size 12. at least, i hope they don’t have those.

seen girls wear sneakers? i have, well, at least they used to. now they wear those platform sneakers. i kid you not.

how do you run in platfrom sneakers.? can you run in them? i guess it must be a fashion statement. but how much exactly would those huge non-functional sneakers ‘run’ ya.?

i just couldn’t pay 100 bucks for some sneakers that don’t work.

now those shoes up top. i think they’re doing what they are supposed to. they are performing their specified purpose. racing flames and all.

those shoes over to the right, the blue ones. aren’t they the same model? i notice the point is a little different where the shoe meets the floor, but other than that, they’re the same.

i heard elton john has a pair of those. i shudder at the thought.

he used to wear all kinds of weird things back in the day. mostly just glasses.

my sisters were in on the trend too. i remember the same one ‘J’ left a pair of clogs at a cousins house, and cried when she realized she had left them there. are those weird shoes really worth all that?

there’s this girl at work, who i’ll refer to as ‘simplyme’ who won’t hardly wear shoes. the minute she gets in, off come the shoes. she walks around in socks all day. it’s like shoes are transportation to and from the car/house. i bet she has a giant pile of shoes right by her door. between her, and her two girlfriend roommates, there must be 80 pairs in the foyer. i’ll have to see if i can find a web address for her so y’all can say hi.

have y’all looked at madpony kristin’s site? she works in a shoe, and claims to spend her entire paycheck there. i tend to believe it.

now, i can’t be too mouthy here. those boots are way to big to be broken off in any part of my body, but what’s up with those? i think she puts weights in them in case someone attacks her. talk about an ass-kickin. she used to take martial arts too, ’til she started slacking. i’ve seen her wearing the riding boots too.

i think she has a problem. ever since she quit martial arts, she has sooooo much time that she has had to take up other activities, like shoe collecting, to fill her time.

she even has started reading all of my favorite blogs. she’s quite fond of getting up in the morning just so she can comment on them before i do (stop it!). of course, she doesn’t read my blog anymore.
