Davidyeah. i haven’t hardly spent a dime while i’ve been over here.
i guess that’s not really true. i pay for food, gas, phone, whatever. but i haven’t really been buying much else. and i’ve been making a nice paycheck.
i’ve just been paying off bills, which is a really good feeling. liquidating credit card debt.
now, before some of you accuse me of spending money like george bush, i’f like to emphasize that the vast majority of my credit card debt is grad school. i have two of my three semesters charged so far. well, only one now. i’ve paid off one credit card almost entriely. and i have one to go. yeah, i’ve paid for other stuff. like furniture. but right now, i have just a little bit of a bill on one credit card, and then just one card to go!
debt free. it’s a good feeling man. and it’s within sight.
but today, i was walking through the px and saw something i could actually make use of. a nice usb thumbdrive. i actually had one that was 8 Mb back in the day. the one i paid 85 bucks for today holds 4 Gb. yeah i like it.
but then i had to roll up to Ali Al Salem,and the person i was meeting was late. well, his plane was late. so to pass the some odd two hours, i strolled over to their px. and as i was walking by the electronics, because i wanted to see if they had the same drive for less, i heard a word.
the stock lady said ‘ipod’. and i stopped.
i almost bought one from the apple store before i came out here. they want near 500 bucks for a 60Gb ipod with related gear in la cantera mall in san antonio. but i just couldn’t force myself to put MORE shit on my credit cards back then. so i was strong and didn’t.
but today i just stopped and asked how much they were.

Welcome to the ipod revolution. I have a 30 gig, about half full now. Almost to 2000 songs, which isn’t really that much, but I have some music on there that I haven’t even listen to yet.
Awesome! I just spent a bundle on my new cell phone, a motorola krazr (the new razr). It came out literally like 5 days before I got it, I feel so cool 😀
John, you won’t feel good for long. Motorola is the only cell phone company whose high end phones gradually end up being the one offered for free with services. My RAZR is worth shit now… You buy a high end Nokia and it stays high end until they stop selling it.
