Davidever see all of those stories about boxers making weight?
all of the crap that they have to go through be in the right weight category. see them going n horrible diets the week before a fight. dehydrating themselves before weigh in.
the last mike tyson fight showed the weights they weighed in as the day before the fight. and then the weights they were at for the fight. there was close to a 10 pound difference.
little nicky, who just goes by nick, but i like to call him little nicky got introduced to this in the last couple of days.
weight categories for little 11 year old boys are only 3-4 pounds anyway.
and when you fight, you definitely want to be on the top end of your weight bracket, not on the small side.
little nicky’s dad would not let him have lunch yesterday.
he weighed in as 78.2 pounds. and that was not good. he needed to be less than 78.0.
easy though. dad made him go to the bathroom and ‘take care of it’.
he came back a few minutes later and re-weighed in at 77.8 pounds.
which is right where he wanted to be.
he got a good dinner, i’m sure full of pasta.
little nicky fights today. yep, for those of you that have never gotten in a ring. this is little nicky’s second time in a national venue that i know of.
i’ll be taking pics and videos. hope he does well.
That’s one aspect of sports for kids that I hate. My best friend has seen attrocious tactics taken by parents on her sons’ baseball teams so they would make weight. Yet, any other time these kids are wolfing down Mickey D’s on a daily basis.
that kid is going to destroy all comers. you guys wait and see.
Mike Tyson would have no reason to make weight. He’s in the heavyweight class. He may have lost the weight for another reason; nerves, puking, his manhood fell off (he fought like it).
