ok. this is not really a post about football.

the univeristy of miami played florida international university this last saturday in miami. at one point the game devolved into a bench clearing melee in the middle of the field. fans even got into fights in the stands.

this is not sports. i’m not even talking about sportsmanship here. sports. i love college football. i love going to the games even more.

both teams had 4 players ejected from the game. fans were arrested.

i’m following the story to see if anyone actually got charged with anything. most likely the fans have. but what about the players?

ow come players never get charged with anything? i mean, if shaq got in a fight with kobe bryant on the court, they both prob get ejected. maybe the nba would fine them.

but no police action.

if the same two guys got in a fight at the movies, they both get to wear the handcuffs, and go downtown. at least they should.

but how come police don’t use the video replay the same as the refs and make a couple of arrests? assault is assault. football rules do not allow it and neither does the law.

being an athlete is not a free pass to break the law. cubing a few of those steroid hyped asses might actually make them obey the rules a bit more often.
