hey, went to the bazaar again this last friday. it was raining, which is better than snowing. but they closed it early and kicked me out.
anybody like this stuff?
there’s a bunch of stuff here and it’s just a wee bit cheaper than in the usa.
they have the usual knickknacks, with a central asian flavor. and the gemstones above. rubies and lapis lazuli are supposedly very cheap here. especially lapis lazuli.
like persian rugs? cheap cheap cheap. i have a few silk ones already.
more carpets.
do you like this one? no? this one? no? THIS one? wait, come back! i make special price just for you!
yeah, i learned to haggle in jerusalem. best strategy is to walk away. next best is to have a set number of money in your pocket in advance. if they KNOW you have more, by looking in your wallet, they will ask for more.
oh yeah. furs. you animal lovers stop reading.
lynx, fox, wolf, mink and baby seal. and they have leather too i think. i have to do some more investigation.
well. i’m going to resume some political rants here real soon. the presidential race is starting already. jezz, it’s like hockey, the season’s over! yeay! what, pre season already?
email me.
DUDE!!!! Gemstones!!! AAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!! The cheapness of it all!!!!! The torture!!!!
What’s a jewelry designer got to do get some of that stuff? On a somber note, what about customs? There are some laws under the Patriot Act enabling the FBI to monitor how much a jeweler brings in country and where they’ve been…gemstones being a good source of producing money for terrorist groups and all. 😉
dang.. thas a lot of stuffs!
I think we have one of those rugs in our dining room. The label has lots of non-English scribbly writing on it.
What are the prices like??? And can you send stuff MPS or does it go regular USPS?
Bernice wants a mink, I want a big rug. I can trade, um, some home made tamles and enchiladas.
Just kidnap the stuff like an Iranian.
