so i splurged and bought some new things for my computer. i’m a huge fan of not buying what i don’t need. and if what i have does the job, i tend to stick with it until it dies.

to wit: my huge 35″ sony tv. just could not make myself buy a new hd because it worked just fine. when it died, i was soooo happy. i was even happier when i got that behemoth out to the curb. it was a great tv, but it’s time had come.

so. what died? i bought a wireless mouse and kb for my laptop whil ein iraq, and that thing just never worked well. the mouse does. but the damn kb, the “y” key only works about half of the time. goodbye ms internet kb. hello logitcj diNovo jobby. i’ll see how you work.

printer. my epson r200 is around 4 years old? and when i was gone, i didn’t use it. of course. so now it prints for shit. hello epson artisan 700.

when i upgraded my computer, i went all sata. my damn dvd-rw just doesn’t work. hello pioneer bd-rw.

i’m setting up the printer now. i’ll let y’all know if i have problems. 😉

drove up to see the folks yesterday. had steak and tormented my nieces. we played uno. house rules of course.

i have to buy a grill. why? well, first off, because i don’t have a grill. second off, because my sister and associated softball team have some weekend tourny here in Sept., i have to cook for them.

and last, because i’m calling it now.

ou ut weekend. college gameday at my house. burgers, dogs, beer, and steak. lots of steak. grillin the longhorns on saturday, Oct 17th.
