the USTU is supposed to announce where and when nationals will be tomorrow. i’m hoping for vegas. or anywhere in texas.
wednesday is sparring night. i’m in such a low rut right now. i haven’t been doing cardio and it is showing. i just am in such bad shape right now. the thing is, cardio has had a real slide in membership lately, and it is just no fun to go and do an aerobic kickboxing class, just you and the instructor. needless to say, i got pummeled tonight. but i did manage to see how nig john is setting up that little back side kick he’s been hitting me with. at least something good came out of it.
guess i’m going to have to suck it up and go back to cardio.
i hate michael moor. let me count the ways. no, that would take too long.
madame butterfly hit the road today. i went with rachael and said goodbye to her and mr. butterfly. it’s a long drive from dc to phoenix. i forgot my camera too. so no last minute pics to post of her.

Been married now for 11 years this month and absolutely have no illusions or care if my hubby has a bit of “love-handles”, although he does care.
I do have to say you can’t be that out of shape having gotten as far as you have. Just focus!!!!!

Don’t take this as an attack, CJ, but I have to disagree with you. Yes it does matter after you get married! You should still want to keep your loved-one attracted to you. I don’t think you should let yourself go, if you have the means to keep yourself in shape. Although, your wife/husband should still love you even if you’re not in shape. I think it’s very important to keep him interested…
but that’s just my opinion…
Actually, Melissa, I was just kidding sort of. I guess I put the “Te he he he” in the wrong place. My hubby is in fine shape, though somewhat thick (German stock). I don’t have an issue with that. I was just picking on mlah.
Anyhow, mlah, I read your previous 2 posts and have to tell you that I wish that I had someone like you to give me a “lecture” on the rules at college. I don’t think that you have to worry about how you look. To those of us with common sense, it makes all the sense in the world for you to inform friends about those very dangers.
Unlike some of my “sisters”, I believe that if women want equality with men then they have to take some responsibilities in life. I don’t even want to count how many times I was in those very situations at my college, which when I started it was 5 girls to every guy so you know the weekends were filled with guys from all over the place!
Am I ashamed? Yes but I got over it. Am I guilty of making some very big mistakes? Yes but I got over it. Did I think that guys took advantage? Yes, but so did I. Was my self-esteem so low at that period of my life that I needed attention? Yes and I got over that too.
I would never diminish what rape and date rape is(because I’ve known victims who were very close to me) but a woman needs to also be responsible and know the situations she puts herself in when she’s out partying with her friends. Particularly at that age, guys are really horny bastards and do not need any form of encouragement when drinking and flirting mix!
I could go on but I think I made my point…
the girl who made that comment on my ‘power drinking’ post has quit reading my site. she came to me via ‘little diary’ over on my links bar. i suspect it is the author but don’t know for sure. no matter to me.
I definitely agree that women should be responsible for their actions while drunk too…can’t tell you how many times I got tore up drunk at my first duty station (not Rota) and made some decisions that I wasn’t happy with the next day, but I was responsible for ending up in those situations…I never blamed someone else and called it rape. And I have been told all my military career that if a woman has had alcohol and a man has sex with her, that is rape. Sorry. Don’t believe in that. Although many women would take advantage of that, I wouldn’t.
It’s called INTEGRITY. Some of us still have it, Mlah. All hope is not lost! 🙂
