Mohammed and Dhimmi central

trey stone and matt parker wrote an episode of south park that depicted the prophet mohammed. it aired last night.

at the last second, comedy central censored the cartoon and pulled it. michelle malkin called comedy central (she has a little more pull than i do) and comedy central confirmed it. the censoring of the mohammed cartoon was a comedy central decision.

now malkin is running a new logo contest for comedy central.

unbelieveable.

    1. South Park had a Mohammed character in 2001.

And one of the characters from last week said “Freedom of speech is at stake here, don’t you all see? If anything, we should all make cartoons of Mohammed and show the terrorists and the extremists that we are all united in the belief that every person has a right to say what they want. Look people, it’s been really easy for us to stand up for free speech lately. For the past few decades, we haven’t had to risk anything to defend it. One of those times is right now. And if we aren’t willing to risk what we have now, then we just believe in free speech, but won’t defend it.”

Last week’s episode was about Fox’s The Family Guy having a Mohammed character in a 2-part episode, ended with Fox pulling the first half episode but announcing that the second half would be shown next week. Parker and Stone were putting Comedy Central on notice. Comedy Central ultimately caved to the Islamofascists.

RWN and Malkin (quoting Noonan) have more info.

    2. Comedy Central refused to air the Mohammed character so as not to offend Muslims, yet showed a character representing Jesus defecating on Bush and the American flag. Don’t want to offend a billion Muslims, but it’s OK to offend a billion Christians (not to mention 300 million Americans).

Comedy Central has certainly joined the ranks of the Dhimmi!

    3. Kudos to the Colorado duo!!! Just watched the two episodes, Cartoon Wars.

Apparently, Mohammed is a more jealous and easily offended religeous figure than God, Jesus, Buddha, Joseph Smith, Shiva/Krishna and the others that aired in the Super Best Friends episode and any other episode. Comedy Central has no issue allowing the Bloody Mary episode, the Truth About Mormons episode, and others to air. But NOT Mohammed… They would rather put their heads in the sand. Man was that accurately depicted!!!

Come on!!! How lame is Comedy Central??? Get some cajones and air the damn show in its entirety. Truly effin’ lame.

    4. Why should any religion be insulted this way? What sort of comedy is that…? I wonder what sick guy thinks that insulting any God is comic. They would would never dare to show Prophet Mohammed becauase their TV station would be blown to bits the next day… Just because Hindus, Christians and Buddhists are tolerant does not mean that Comedy Central takes the liberty to insult them on air.
It is such a sick channel… The very idea sucks. They would get nothing hurting the sentiments of millions of people world wide, except win their ire?

    5. pranay. since when is mohammed God?

he ain’t nothing but a dude. just like you. just like me. albeit, he was a pedophile and i’m not.
