so i’m sitting here this afternoon, taking a break from a rather productive sunday. i was almost done with my laundry, had finished cleaning and unpacking everything for upstairs. had been grocery shopping, cleaned my ktichen.

i was feeling pretty good. i was dreading going out and stacking my bricks. i have this huge pile of bricks in my garage. they were leftover from building my house. and i need to stack them under my stairs (in the garage).

and then it happened.

my monitor went blank. and then the monitor gave me the ‘no signal’ info screen.

my video card crapped out on me.

so i made the emergency run to best. i bought a new card, only to find out on my unwrapping that i failed to notice the type of card it was.

i have a pci card. not an agp card. for those of you who don’t know what that means, it means i get to have one less device attached to my computer now.

but i had to move the card around in different pci slots to get it recognized by my os. i finally managed to get that done, but screwed up my wireless.

now i have that working too. but i get this really obnoxious warning about a broadcom dll. that has to be fixed.

took me three hours.

the bricks are still there.

i updated my links too. some old ones are gone, some new ones are there.
