I don’t even know where to begin in response to that. How explicit does Obama have to be about the fact that he wants to cut taxes, not raise them? Unless you’re in that top %5 of earners in this country, you can expect wealth to be redistributed in your direction. Unless you’re interested in making yourself more poor and making rich people even richer, you should vote for Obama.

Now James, here’s a campaign promise from Barry that I believe:

To spell it out for you James, and Gus too, Barry is promising to raise all of our expenses for nearly every manufactured thing that we buy, because he is planning to force the cost of electricity to “skyrocket.” It will also cost more to heat and cool our homes, let alone the extravagant uses of electricity like running these computers. We can expect several thousands of additional, energy-related costs every year. In return, he may decide to allow our taxes to be reduced $1000 or so for the corresponding year. So where exactly is the benefit of his “campaign promise” to lower taxes?
While I’m asking, what’s the deal with this other campaign promise?
We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that weve set, he said Wednesday. Weve got to have a civilian national security force thats just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.

james. barry is not going to cut taxes. look to his voting record to see if he is really going to cut taxes. first he claims to cut taxes for everyone making less than 250K, but has changed that number to 200. then biden changed it to 150. then bill richardson to 120. and again to 100. taxes are going up.
taxes are not too low james. spending is too high. spending needs to be cut. both parties are guilty of runaway spending. the only question is which candidate has fewer spending programs.
and that 95% tax cut? 40% aren’t even paying income tax? that’s called welfare, but more importantly, it is a new spending program.

Biden was speaking Monday, October 27, in an interview with WNEP in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He said, “(An) $87 billion tax break doesn”t need to go to people making an average of $1.4 million. It should go like it used to. It should go to middle class people people making under $150,000 a year.” Biden never said that that was the cut-off point. He was merely using that figure as an example and it does not represent a change in policy.

If you will recall, several months ago I told you I thought the Democrats would win the presidential race. I said then, and I reiterate, that this is an historic event. For the first time ever we have a black man as President (elect). Now for once and for all, I hope we have heard the last of how America is holding down its minorities. Obama has proved that sentiment pitifully wrong.
Perhaps Obama is not a socialist. Maybe he just says whatever he feels is necessary to get the votes. His voting record in the U.S. Senate certainly shows that he won’t take a divisive stance. Let’s hope he keeps it up once he occupies the White House.
