tomorrow is the single most important day in sports.

the texas longhorns and the oklahoma sonners play tomorrow in the red river shootout.

they don’t play at either school. they play in the cotton bowl every year. downtown dallas. it’s in texas, but closer to ou than it is to ut.

each school gets half of the tickets. one half of the cotton bowl will be red, and the other half will be burnt orange.

and it will be loud.

texas is favored this year. oklahoma has won the last 5 times and they are looking for blood. ou had some real trouble at the beginning of the year. they lost 2 games.

but they showed major improvement at every game.

texas is still favored, and rightly so.

tonight will be mayhem in downtown dallas. the ou/ut pep rally will be on commerce street. there will be a police officer within arms reash of a police officer for over a mile, on both sides of the street. and it will be loaded with fans just yelling at each other.
