whew!
i had a crisis last night.
i connect tot he internet right now via a t-mobile hotspot. basically, t-mobile sets up a router for the mom and pop hotel i’m in. mom and pop, who are really peter and brigitte, get internet for free for the hotel. and t-mobile charges guests for connecting.
that’s where i come in.
i called t-mobile and set up and account and it costs me 40 bucks a month for unlimited internet. they have hot spots all over the us, and the world. i can connect to any of them. just my 40 bucks.
so i thought.
when i open a browser, it asks me to log in to the hotspot. and last night i started trying to make out the german. it said basically, it charges 0.18 euros per minute.
now. what are the chances i’m paying both? cause i leave this thing on once i’m logged in. it kicks me out about every 6 hours. so i basically stay logged in around 15 hours a day.
and remember. deutsch t-mobile is charging 0.18 euros a minute. or 1.5 euros every 10 minutes. they cut you a break evidently.
i freaked!!!
that’s like 3000 euro i owe for the last 2 weeks or so. and at the current exchange rate. that’s about 4500 dollars.
i checked with peter this morning.
no charges.
so utorrent is running again!
paying by the minute? That’s like Kip from napoleon dynamite!
glad you aren’t paying too much!
Good thing they didn’t charge you. Think of how many hookers that could have bought!
