the muslim view of the world is that there are two worlds, or houses.
the world of war. which is what we live in, and
the world of peace. they don’t really use the word ‘world’ here. they use house. but my old arabic instructors used to refer to it as the world, so i tend to as well.
the dar al harb, and
the dar al islam.
i found a nice side by side comparison.
i wanted to comment but i would have had to create a profile on that specific blog. so i didn’t.
it’s worth a read though
Shame! You are just adding to the hatred that the West has for all things Islam. Shame! (Is that about right, Gus?)
I love the comparisons done without reference to the actual religions or persons involved. Like a blind taste test. Gee, which one is better? (Oh, sorry Gus, there is no “better” because it’s all relative.)
interesting… and sad at the same time. life is such a splendid thing, it should be valued and treasured at all times.
Yeah, because the “House of War” -never- does anything that goes in the “extremist” category.
I could draw up a chart like that that says cannibalistic hedonistic satanists are better human beings than Christians. Doesn’t mean shit. :p
Nice, moonbatty. It’s very amusing to see someone so utterly immune to facts. Pity, too, you have so much to learn, but you never do.
Og,
Just because I don’t happen to agree that an entire religion should be labeled- across the board- to be violent and destructive… Does not mean that I’m immune to facts. Yes, there are violent factions of the muslim religion. Yes, there are LARGE violent factions of the Muslim religion. There are also NON violent factions of the religion. I have friends that are Muslim. Now either they are plotting to murder me while I sleep, or they’re *gahsp* decent human beings.
Labeling ANYTHING universally good or universally bad is a recipe for only one thing: a genocide. Pardon me if I’m not willing to partake.
