The elder Cain has apparently arrived.

Last election the GOP fielded Sen John McCain. Now the new darling is Henry Cain. At least for the moment. He has announced his candidacy but has yet to win any primaries. Of course they haven’t even been held yet. We’re still too far out.

It’s going to be interesting to see how he does.

So far, the little I’ve seen of him is that he’s pretty common sensical about financial things. Simple balancing of the budget.

One thing I’ve heard him say that I REALLY like, he pointed out that he doesn’t intend to reduce the deficit like so many other yahoos on the news. He has pointed out that reducing the deficit only slows the growth of the public debt. Herman Cain wants to reduce the DEBT.

And THAT I like.

Until I hear someone else say something similar, Cain is my man.
